Due to our clients’ requirements and timeframes, only candidates with eligibility to work in New Zealand will be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications to carry out a wide range of carpentry, drainage laying, and plumbing works on civil construction sites
- Constructing formwork, boxing, beams, walls, stairs, drainage systems, and other structural elements for bridges and civil construction projects
- Performing drainage laying including pipe installation, trenching, backfilling, and alignment in accordance with site plans and regulations
- Assisting with plumbing installations and repairs, ensuring proper fit-out of water systems and drainage lines where required
- Working with concrete, ensuring high-quality finishes and actively participating in concrete pours and drainage-related tasks
- Operating power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble materials with precision and care
Requirements:
- A 3+ years of experience as a General Laborer, specialising in form-work, drainage laying, and concrete structures
- Proven experience working on bridges, roads, and large-scale civil projects
- Strong knowledge of form-work, boxing, concrete, beams, nails, stairs, and high-quality finishes.
- High attention to detail, solid problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and high quality of work
- Physically fit and capable of performing outdoor manual labour in a variety of weather conditions
- With valid confined space and site safe
- A valid driver license and reliable transport
